Two doves together.
I watch as they build
their nest in the tree before me,
one dodging from the nest
collecting straw and twigs,
the other remains behind.
Perhaps she is tidying,
but they are together
as though perfectly aligned
partners, living up to
their names—
two lovebirds
together
building.
